Full respect for the individual growth and qualities of individual students and for individual differences; the full development of the student’s potential and a focus on the development of the individual’s strengths; the full cultivation of the student’s character and personal qualities; the full stimulation of the student’s passion for learning; and the full development of the student’s ability to rise up to challenges.
Traditional Chinese culture here is taken as the “body”, and the pure, international education concepts of the West are taken as the “means” in systematic education together with advanced Western teaching concepts and methods. Development and progress are achieved through comparison, understanding and co-existence, and one’s knowledge levels are raised with comparison and reflection.
Through the cultivation of interests and the individual’s strengths, students are trained to become global elites who are capable of making significant contributions to society and scientific innovation, and who are truly competitive on the world stage. Metrics for elite talent in the student stage: Diligence, Kindness, Moderation, Perseverance, and Creativity.
We are determined to pay close attention to the cultivation of the student’s interests and the development of one’s strengths and to achieve systematic education that includes life and career planning. The “Four Cultivations” model of quality, all-round education is implemented in stages. What is created is an innovative model of learning that offers general learning, experiential learning, and targeted individual learning that allows the student to develop his or her strengths into specialties, to become highly competitive, and to be able to go out to the world with confidence and become an outstanding talent with a great future.
The focus of education here is to help the child segue from the family unit to wider society. The child develops positive habits, such as curiosity, the keenness to observe the world around him/her, openness to the experiential, and the willingness to share through activities that bring him/her closer to nature, that are centered on immersion in both Chinese and Western culture as well as bilingual expression, that are about sports and health, and music and art activities. Attention is paid to the child’s likes and dislikes and to guiding the formation of the child’s interests to lay the foundation for the development of the child’s specialties. The child grows to be a healthy, intelligent and cheerful individual in the process of being educated.
The focus here is on the cultivation of the student’s interests so that the knowledge gained can serve the student’s interest and development; and to inspire students to maintain their interests through experiential activities; and to gaining skills and abilities within their interests through hands-on activities so that students can be happy as they grow and cultivate their various qualities.
The focus here is on the cultivation of the student’s interests and strengths. With the acquisition of professional knowledge and skills together with humanistic thinking and a scientific spirit, the student develops an appreciation for quality as well as the capacity for theoretical inquiry with regard to his/her interests. Further, the student should form a correct attitude and good behavior, and gain wisdom and confidence, in the process of self-cultivation.
The focus at this stage is on developing and cultivating the student’s personal qualities as they relate to his/her interests. Through a comparative study of the Chinese and Western cultures, the student undertakes in-depth study in his/her area of interest and undergoes nourishment of both the mind and the body. The student develops a gentlemanly manner, with a calm, restrained demeanor and is imbued with the spirit of perseverance, and gains the ability to cope with real life and changes in the social environment both at home and abroad.

The Far East Horizon Education Group, which adheres to the “Finance + Industry” positioning, has fully embarked on the development of K-12 education, presenting educators with a broad world of innovative education and providing a “garden” for the realization of education ideals. This was also why I joined Far East in the first place. The Group’s mission of “Student-Centered, Integration of East and West, Elite Education” fully reflects a vision of education that is completely in line with the social development needs of today: scientific leadership, global vision and leadership in society.
The accumulation of social resources to aid the development of education has laid a solid foundation for the Group in its efforts to bravely stand at the head of reforms in basic education and to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the best in the global education arena. With clearly defined goals, vision and plan, the Group has developed a system of education that focuses on the cultivation of the child’s qualities at all stages through K-12.
I believe that in the future, the Far East Horizon Education brand, based on the cultivation of scientific literacy and the spirit of innovation as well as the nurturing of cultural literacy and the student’s character qualities, will achieve outstanding results in terms of talent cultivation throughout its K-12 system of education, both within China and abroad.
